The uninterrupted operation of medical devices used in hospitals, unaffected by power fluctuations, is of great importance in terms of patient safety, operational continuity, and cost management.

Energy Quality Issues and Identified Problems

Our hospital in Çorlu, which was experiencing problems with energy management, contacted us after realizing that this situation was negatively affecting its operational efficiency.

Our technical investigations revealed the following:

·         Harmonic distortions were occurring in the grid,

·         Reactive power consumption had increased,

·         Medical devices were experiencing performance degradation and reduced lifespan,

·         Energy costs were much higher than expected.

Solution Implemented: AHF and SVG Integration

Based on the data we obtained, we integrated a 400 kVar transformer into the hospital's energy infrastructure and installed a 150 amp AHF into the UPS power distribution system:

·         Active Harmonic Filter (AHF): Improved energy quality by suppressing harmonics within the system, ensuring efficient and long-lasting operation of medical devices.

·         Static Var Generator (SVG): Optimized reactive power balance, reducing energy consumption and significantly lowering the hospital's total energy costs.

The feedback we received from hospital management after this implementation was extremely positive. The increase in energy quality directly reflected on device performance and system reliability.
